Ever wondered what happens in-between the booking and the shoot? Here is a behind the scenes look into what happens at Lucid Photography. Whether it's headshots, a branding shoot or photos of your cute little puppy, here is what happens from start to finish. 1.) Inquiry Once I hear from you, whether it’s through my website, a message, phone call, or even in person, my first step is to get a feel for what you’re looking for. We’ll work together to shape an idea that fits both of us. (I absolutely love brainstorming creative concepts!) We’ll also chat about possible dates for your photoshoot to happen on. 2.) Deposit and Booking When we’ve settled on the vision, I’ll put together a customized quote for your shoot and send it your way. If everything looks good, I’ll send over an invoice along with a booking form (a mini contract to keep both of us covered in case anything unexpected comes up).

Once your booking fee is paid, you’re officially on my calendar, and then the real fun begins! 3.) Brainstorming Now it’s time to bring the idea to life. I’ll create a mood board that outlines the look and feel of the shoot, think poses, props, layout, outfits, and overall vibe. I always include client input to make sure the shoot reflects you. Once we’re both happy with the concept, we move on to the next part of your photography experience. 4.) Props and Personal Styling If the shoot calls for props, I’ll get to work sourcing them. I might buy them, rent them, or even make them myself (whatever it takes to make the idea happen). The same goes for wardrobe. If there’s a specific look we’re going for, I’ll work closely with you to plan and style it. Everything to elevate the visual storytelling. 5.) Lights! Camera! Action! It’s shoot day! You’ll find me in the studio, getting everything ready for our photoshoot. Hanging backdrops, setting up lights, arranging props, and pulling up the mood boards so we stay on track. When you arrive, I’ll make sure you feel comfortable and confident (and don’t worry, water will be available on request). I’ll show you previews throughout the session to make sure you’re feeling your best self. On this day, I’ll also be awaiting the final part of your payment so we can move straight on to the next step. 6.) Editing This is often the part that takes the longest. I’ll cull through the photos and select the ones where you look your absolute best (no out-of-focus or mid-blink shots here!). Then comes the retouching. (Not gonna bore you with the behind-the-scenes of this part — just think of me as a wizard turning your photos from basic to amazing.) This stage can take up to a week, depending on the type of shoot. And now comes your favorite part. 7.) Delivery of final images Once I am done editing, I upload the photos into a private online gallery, and send you the link to download them. Then you can decide to print it, post it or keep it private. I’m always open to feedback, and I’ll gladly make small adjustments to make sure you're happy with your images. Once you're happy, I'm happy.

I have gone through this exact process with this photographer every little step in detail. The edited pictures came out great and I didn’t even have to ask for anything to be edited afterwards! She know exactly what you want and makes magic, would go to her again ⭐️
